This little shelter was inspired by my first winter camping experience. My sister and a friend and I signed up for a three day ski touring and winter camping course in Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island back when we were in university, and it was an amazing few days. We learned how to navigate avalanche terrain, choose the warmest spot to make camp (we failed at that one), make group decisions, use our touring gear, and start to become comfortable in the winter version of the backcountry.
