Courthouse Towers 9" Wood Cookie Original
Courthouse Towers 9" Wood Cookie Original
I painted this piece on a very early morning in Arches National Park. I’d been admiring this fin of rock called Courthouse Towers for a few days, and woke up before sunrise to find the perfect painting spot. It was so magical to sit still and silent as the desert woke up around me; lizards skittered out into the fresh sunlight, ravens flew overhead, and desert rabbits hopped out of their burrows in search of breakfast. The light and shadows on the rock changed constantly, and it was such a peaceful morning.
This watercolour and pen and ink original is painted on a 9” round wood cookie, and has been sealed with spray on varnish to ensure longevity, lightfastness and durability. It comes with hanging hardware installed on the back, so it can be hung directly onto your wall.
